Why RRYH Foundation?

Remy never had any health problems. But he had a hidden genetic type of arrhythmia called “Long QT Syndrome” (LQTS) which is fatal to the young, aged between 12 and 35.

Remy never showed any symptoms therefore his heart was never checked. Had he been screened, a simple inexpensive Electrocardiogram (ECG) would have revealed his heart condition and he would have been treated and saved.

Although Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Chest Compressions were performed, Remy could only have been saved had an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) been available nearby.

In Remy’s honor, RRYH was established to raise awareness on sudden cardiac arrest, promote prevention by offering free EKGs, offer CPR-AED trainings, and lobby to make AEDs compulsory.
